ASR (stands for Action Sports Retailer) in San Diego is the West Coast’s chance to represent themselves to the fullest in the surf industry. For many its their only chance for anyone outside of their local area to see their product or service. For most, its the single best three days for promotion in the Surf Industry.
Marc B sure made the most of his 3 days inside the San Diego Convention Center, playing four shows for the Convention!
Marc B’s shows were all inside the Convention centermostly in the Green Room.
One of the shows happened to be for the Celebrity Poker Tournament, where the world’s top professional skateboarders, snowboarders and surfers, along with their corresponding media frienzies, were kicking back playing cards, and doing interviews.
Marc B got hooked up with the chance to play for the likes of the winningest Surfer of all time, Mr. Kelly Slater, along with one of Marc’s favorite and most personally influential surfers, Rob Machado. Afterwards Marc chatted for a few minutes with both of them and handed them each a preview to his anticipated CD, “The Yellow Jelly E.P.”
All in all, ASR was blast. Explains Marc, “Normally when we promote, I tell the street team only to hit up super hot chicks and industry professionals. Here at ASR, it’s always 100% super hot chicks and industry professionals!”
Marc B is already working on booking shows for next year’s San Deigo ASR. See you there!
