Marc B. Bio:
Marc B makes music for the industry he grew up with: Surf. His fresh beats and ocean-inspired melodies blend with free-flow lyrics as crisp as lettuce. Think Jack Johnson, but with a DJ and a lot more sand in his bed. His "Sublime-on-Marley" style (Kevin Ferguson, District Weekly) is why so many surfers are drawn to his music.

If you're a surfer, and you haven't yet heard his honest-to-life inspired tunes from his debut album, "The Yellow Jelly E.P." belting out of your beachside venue, keep your ears open, because now that you've read this, you most definitely will be noticing Marc B.

Marc was recently named as a nominee for Best Surf Artist for the 2009 Orange County Music Awards, standing alongside other nominees as The Offspring, Matt Costa, The Vandals, Thrice, Avenged Sevenfold, and Mickey Avalon, all from OC.

Now working with Oniric Records, the company in charge of web development for Jack Johnson, Matisyahu, and all other Brushfire records' artists, Marc B has played with the likes of The White Buffalo, Matt Costa, The Dirty Heads, and others in such beachside locales like The US Open of Surfing, The Boost Mobile Pro, and the ASR Tradeshow. "The Yellow Jelly E.P." has been handed out to the industry's top professionals (including the top 52 Surfers in the World) in their contest gift bags for three years in a row at each major surf contest in the ASP World Tour.

His single, "The River" was featured in Pro Surfer Kelly Slater's 9th World Title video on Wetsand.com for millions to see.

Jesse Billauer, CEO of Life Rolls On, has hand picked Marc B for three consecutive years to play at his booth at The US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, reaching thousands of ears. An honest voice and a loyal fan base continue to propel Marc B to the top.

Growing up in the sub-culture of free-surfing in Newport Beach, California, Marc B's passion for the ocean runs deep. His music is a mix of that passion, combined with roots, rock, reggae, jazz, and a handful of honest, catchy lyrics that people find stimulating.

Marc B uses his acoustic guitar differently than any other singer/songwriter in his genre. "It came out because I played so many gigs by myself, where Iąd have to act as the bass, drums, and rhythm guitar all-in-one," explains Marc.

Although Marc B and his band are tailored toward the Surf audience, his music is inspiring to all types of people. "He provides mellow, feel-good tunes that any So Cal college student can relate to and appreciate," writes W. Walker in April 2007's issue of DIG Magazine. But it's more than that. "The Yellow Jelly E.P." has caused worldwide attention, from Tokyo to Sydney to Iraq...literally. People around the globe are adding Marc B to their iPods.

Music is in Marc's blood. Explains Marc, "Music was passed to me by my grandfather and father...there were always guitars and things lying around." Naturally, Marc B has been writing original songs since he was twelve years old.

When asked about his personal musical goals in an interview with PensEyeView.com, Marc replied, "I donąt need to be famous, I just want to make change."

Marc B plays frequently in California, and will soon be embarking on a World-wide tour, so check out his list of shows for a concert in your area!

His official sponsors include Oniric Records and Atwater Clothing. He thanks The Surfrider Foundation, Blisss Magazine, OC Green Guide.com, and music lovers.
